All paper sessions and other programming events will be held in the Old University Library, which will serve as the main conference venue. The Old Library is a classicist building with elements of Italian Renaissance, combined old fashioned exterior with pioneering technical ideas in the form of cast-iron scaffolding which supported the construction inside. It was considered the heart of the campus until the opening of the new library in 1999.
The May 1 evening reception will be held in the Column Hall of the Faculty of History, one of the most beautiful classicist interiors in Warsaw. It was built in 1820 to host a museum of fine arts. After decades of disuse, the hall was reopened in 2012 and now hosts multiple university functions.
The May 2 evening banquet will be held in the Exhibition Hall of the New University Library, a 10-minute walk from the main conference venue.
